APM Podcast Proposal Form

Thank you for submitting your podcast pitch to American Public Media. Our podcast development team reads and carefully considers every pitch. We will contact you to explore the idea further if we feel there might be a good fit. It may take a few weeks for us to respond. If you have any questions, check out our FAQ page for more info.

Please provide the following information to help us evaluate your podcast concept.


If you are submitting this proposal as part of a team, please list all team members and their roles here.
Give us your elevator pitch, 300 words or less.
Who do you have in mind for a host, and what is the host’s connection to the topic?
Who is your intended audience? Describe them for us. How do they hear about the show? What else do they listen to, watch, or read?
How will the show be structured? (e.g. interview based, serial storytelling). What are the different features the show might include?
What other podcasts does your show resemble, and what sets yours apart?
Provide a link to an example of your work. This may be an early version of your concept or previous work. If you are proposing a host other than yourself, please provide a sample of their work, if possible.
Provide a description of your work sample and its relevance to the proposal.

You indemnify MPR against any claim resulting from a breach by you of the foregoing statement.
