S4TW: Uber, Mia Farrow, and Garbage Sons

November 21, 2014

(Welcome to Something for the Weekend.  Some Infinite Guest stuff, some not Infinite Guest stuff.  Thank you.)

(Mia Farrow, haver of an interesting life.)

COOL INFINITE GUEST THING: With Uber being in the news for reasons you don’t want to be in the news for, Life of the Law picked a good time to examine the legal gray areas of “sharing economy” businesses like Uber, Lyft, and Airbnb.

EUROPEAN TOILETS: Open Mike has part two of his Yoni Wolf interview on Secret Skin, which is great, but he’s also in the middle of a European tour, so his tale of encountering the washout toilet for the first time is a highlight.

MIA FARROW, PART 1: You Must Remember This has the first of two parts on Mia Farrow’s run from 1960 to 1970.  We’re not even to the point where the Beatles name a song after her sister yet.

HOOPS: Basketball enthusiasts John Moe and Sherman Alexie talk about the game on Home Dunk.  Kobe Bryant, reservation basketball, the Seattle SuperSonics, and wildly offensive mascot names are covered.

COOL NON-INFINITE GUEST THING: I laughed very hard at this Clickhole quiz about a nice, Saab-owning dad and his garbage sons.
