“To be a great writer, you have to be an even better reader.”

Sherman says that as a way of introducing their readings for this episode, which are not their own, but rather, “other people’s shit” (Sherman again).  Jess reads from Rebecca Lee’s short story, Bobcat, while Sherman chooses Chen Chen’s poem, “for i will do/undo what was done/undone to me.”

The authors also welcome fellow author Sharma Shields, who reads from her upcoming novel, The Sasquatch Hunter’s Almanac, and asks them how they would respond if someone was offended by one of their works.

To close the show, writers and fellow basketball enthusiasts Shann Ray and Kevin Taylor join Sherman and Jess for Roundball Roundtable, where they discuss the prettiest jumpshots and best player names.  Yes, World B. Free is noted.
