This Week in TBTL: Corey Feldman and the Song of the Summer

July 24, 2015

A hand-crafted, shade-grown, beard-forward recap of the last week’s goings-on in the TBTL universe.  It will run every Friday morning, because I know none of you reads on the weekend.

(Last) FRIDAY: Luke and Andrew listen to the new Donovan single.  It’s bad!

(Seriously, kill it with fire.)

Later, Phyllis Phriday is in phull ephect, as she shares the touching story of Johnny and Bobo, two dolls that look an awful lot like Luke Burbank and Andrew Walsh.

MONDAY:  A celebration of TBTL’s 100th Infinite Guest show with TBTL Funcruncher Steve Nelson, plus the unveiling of the Song of the Summer bracket.

TUESDAY: You’ll take Luke’s Splenda from his cold, dead fingers, Obama.  Also, Corey Feldman and Andrew’s problem ear.

WEDNESDAY: Management responds to complaints about the Song of the Summer selections.

THURSDAY: Instead of being a basket case, Luke takes the longview, goes to a Third Eye Blind concert, and has the time of his life.  Also, Andrew embraces his evolution into Dr. Julius Hibbert.

TBTL-a-thon mug requesters: SOON.

SOON

Also: Lotta quality tunes did not make the SOTS sweet sixteen, so I’ll be sharing a few of them as we barrel (wine pun!) toward Aug. 19 in Woodinville, Washington.  Today’s selection: “Trying,” by Bully.

THE TBTL NEWSLETTER IS HERE

That’s right.  A TBTL Newsletter.  Every Friday.  In your electronic mailbox.  Containing show recaps, a Ten of the Week, notes from Luke and Andrew, cutting room floor items from the past week, and news about upcoming TBTL events and ephemera.  More ephemera than you’ll know what to do with, frankly.
